Family Dental Practice in Brighton, MI
Founded in 1962 by Dr. Richard Charlick, Charlick, Springstead & Wilson Dental Associates has been locally owned and operated for two generations. Over the years, the practice has grown and expanded into what it is today: a group of dedicated, compassionate dental professionals. After being a sole practitioner, Dr. Charlick was joined by Dr. Robert B. Springstead and his sons, Dr. Mark Charlick and Dr. Todd Charlick. After a number of years, Dr. Charlick sold his ownership to Dr. Wilson, and Dr. Springstead sold his ownership to his daughter, Dr. Christie S. Scanlon.
Today, Charlick, Springstead & Wilson Dental Associates provides a comprehensive range of family dentistry services in Brighton, MI. Our dentists and staff serve patients in all stages of life and are committed to the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. We truly care about you, your family, and your overall wellbeing.
Our practice proudly serves individuals and families from Brighton and surrounding communities including Howell, South Lyon, Hartland, Fowlerville, Milford, and Pinckney.
Meet Our Doctors
Robert B. Springstead
Dr. Springstead received his BS degree in Microbiology from Michigan State University following a two-year program at the University of Michigan and two years of service with the United States Marine Corps. He then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
For personal relaxation, he enjoys jogging and family fishing outings. Dr. Springstead and his wife, Sally, have four children and six grandchildren.
Todd Charlick D.D.S.
Dr. Todd Charlick graduated from Spring Arbor College where he earned a BA degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In his down time, Dr. Todd enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children and three grandchildren.
Tara L. Wilson D.D.S.
Dr. Tara Wilson received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology with a sub-discipline in Chemistry from Michigan State University. Upon graduation she attended the University of Detroit Mercy and earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Wilson enjoys being with her family, working out, running, snowboarding, cooking, and reading. She and her husband, Evan, have two children.
Melissa A. Shalhoub, D.D.S.
Dr. Shalhoub obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Psychology from the University of Michigan. She then furthered her education at the university by attending dental school and earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Shalhoub enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and cooking. She and her husband, Alex, have three children.
Michelle N. Andrusyszyn, D.D.S.
Dr. Andrusyszyn completed her Bachelor’s degree at Northern Michigan University, majoring in Physiology with a minor in Chemistry. She then continued with her dental training at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, boating, biking, hiking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Eric, have three children.
Christina Scanlon D.D.S., Ph.D.
Dr. Christie first attended the University of Michigan Honors College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Science. She then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry to complete her D.D.S. program with a Ph.D. in Oral Health Sciences. Dr. Christie is an Invisalign provider.
Dr. Christie is now a consultant with The Dental Advisor. This academic / research group provides dental professionals with evidence-based and clinically relevant information on dental restorative products, infection control products and dental equipment. This allows Dr. Christie to bring state of the art products and procedures to our patients at CSW.
In her spare time, Dr. Christie and her husband love spending time with their four little boys. They enjoy swimming, camping, and traveling together.
